Before the first study, please read the preface, the intro, and the first chapter. Use a pen or pencil, mark things in the book you find interesting or important. Some folks use colored pencils, or star things for discussion, or checkmarks or hearts for things you love. Be creative. You might enjoy reading the quotes from Mortimer Adler’s timeless book (about how to read a book) to your right in the sidebar of this page. This book is an easy read, but profound in its message.
Plan to bring your book, and a pen or pencil. I will provide you an outline at each study. Each week I will write a short summary of our study and post it by Friday morning. Outlines will also be posted as well as some articles and/or videos for those wanting to dig a little more. As promised, there will be no written homework, you will just need to read the assigned chapters. Feel free to encourage family and friends who cannot be here in person to get the book and each week catch up with us by the summaries. It is a great book, and I am looking forward to sharing this blessing with you.
